I became a School Resource Officer because I felt like the opportunity to be an SRO came open for a reason. After praying I knew I was supposed to take the position. Protecting students and staff is a huge responsibility. I want to keep everyone safe and help them thrive. The most rewarding part of being a School Resource Officer is building relationships with students. I want students and staff to know I’m a safe person they can come to in a time of need. My favorite part of being a School Resource Officer when I make a meaningful connection with my students and staff. I want them to feel comfortable confiding in me as an officer and as a friend. Of course, I also really like getting hugs from the kiddos! It's hard to have a bad day at Brownstown Elementary School!
I became a School Resource Officer because I believe that it is important to protect and educate our youth as they are the greatest assets in our community. I believe that having a positive impact on them now will also bridge the gap between our youth and law enforcement.
The most rewarding part of being a School Resource Officer is is being part of a team along with teachers and staff that create a positive change for our youth.
My favorite part of being a School Resource Officer is being involved in school activities with the students. I also enjoy being able to socialize with them, whether it is in the classroom, lunchroom, or hallway.

BCCSC is excited to be offering a new opportunity to our students this year through our Construction Trades class. While we are just getting the class off the ground this year, we are excited about its early success and the support it has generated. While donations and contributions to the class are certainly appreciated, they are not expected. BCCSC is committed to fully supporting this and other Career and Tech Education classes and providing all of the tools and equipment necessary.
